“The Scarpetta Factor” by Patricia Cornwell

I’ve read most of Cornwell’s books, and was excited to see this one.  I found myself skipping over pieces–just too much detail for the plot.  I also didn’t remember enough from previous books, so it was hard to patch together some of the plot–definitely not a stand alone book.  Still, I enjoyed checking in with Kay, Benton, Lucy and Marino.   I always like how books like these spiral back around to the original problem, and boy, this was a humdinger of a spiral!
